The APWLD Digital Security and Online Safety Training in Penang, Malaysia, brought together women human rights defenders and women’s rights activists to strengthen their understanding of digital security, online safety, and technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Combining feminist perspectives with practical skills, the training explored secure communications, privacy, password protection, online GBV, and the Feminist Principles of the Internet. The participatory approach encouraged participants to reflect on their experiences and develop collective strategies for safer and more feminist digital spaces.
