The Foundation for Media Alternatives (FMA), supported by the Making All Voices Count initiative managed by the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in the United Kingdom, undertook an Open eGovernance Index project that aims to develop a quantitative tool to gauge the state of eGovernance around the world. There were five countries included in the pilot study and the Philippines was one of them.
The objectives of the Open eGovernance Index initiative are to further understand democratic eGovernance, particularly through developing the discourse of Open eGovernance; to help develop policy on ICT and governance; engage policy stakeholders directly, around the notion of Open eGovernance; and, to develop a concrete resource for citizens/individuals, civil society organizations to engage the policymakers on Open eGovernance.
In this regard, the Foundation for Media Alternatives will be holding a forum on June 28, 2017 (Wednesday) from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Case Study Room, Social Sciences Building, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan, Quezon City, to present the findings and state of Open eGovernance in the Philippines.
Interested partners are welcome to attend the Forum. For seat reservation, kindly get in touch with our program officer Christina Lopez at (02) 435 6684 or email us at info@fma.ph.
