FMA is part of is the Initiative for Media Freedom (IMF), which aims to enhance democratic governance that provides economic, political, and social inclusion and advances social stability. As proactive stakeholders within the local information ecosystem, the IMF consortium collectively works to achieve this goal through the design and implementation of innovative, evidenced-based, mutually reinforcing activities under the following objectives:

  1. Improve the environment for a free press;

  2. Bolster capacity of media and other organizations to address disinformation; and

  3. Strengthen self-regulation of the media.

Our partners in this project also include Lyf, PECOJON, PCIJ, EngageMedia.org, National Union of Journalists of the Philippines, UP College of Mass Communication Foundation, and Vera Files.

As part of our engagement under the IMF project, FMA will collect and create content pieces and resources with the consortium partners to help strengthen critical thinking and improve on the capacity to report and fight disinformation. These online resources will inform and educate the public on the importance of critical thinking in media consumption, and increase community awareness of disinformation and reduce its spread.

We will be releasing a list of content that you can download from this page soon.
