Philip Arnold Tuaño
President
Randy Tuano is a board member of the Foundation for Media Alternatives. He has been involved with several research projects at the FMA, including the analysis of the state of communication rights and digital divide in the country, the development of the Open eGovernance Index, and the assessment of of the ICT policy space for civil society advocacies.
He is currently teaching at the Economics Department of the Ateneo de Manila University and is project coordinator at the Philippine Human Development Network. He is also a member of the International Center for Innovation, Transformation and Excellence in Governance.
Ruth P. Canlas
Secretary
Ruth provides support in the financial management and general administration of FMA. She is currently working with NTFP EP Philippines (Non Timber Forest Products Exchange Programme Philippines), a non-government organization involved in forest conservation and provision of alternative livelihoods to forest dependent communities, especially indigenous peoples.
Horacio Cadiz
Treasurer
Bombim is the President of the Philippine Network Foundation. He has an MS in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
Fernando Contreras, Jr.
Trustee
JR Contreras is part of the team the provides technical support and technology guidance for FMA. His advocacies include internet quality of usage, net neutrality, clean automated elections, open source technology use, creative commons and anti-software patents.
He is currently the CEO of Teravibe.com Inc and has been involved with many technology and internet-related corporations.
Nina Somera
Trustee
Nina has been working with Southern feminist organizations and networks such as Isis International and Southeast Women’s Caucus on ASEAN. Her feminist grounding has been further honed as she focused on issues such as access to land, ecological agriculture, climate justice and disaster risk reduction management in organizations such as NGO Forum on the ADB, Third World Network, Oxfam and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung. Nina is one of the recipients of the 2018 Global Leadership fellowship from Coady Institute of St. Francis University in Nova Scotia.
Ivy D. Patdu
Trustee
Dr. Ivy D. Patdu is a physician-lawyer and a health privacy advocate. She previously served as a Deputy Commissioner at the National Privacy Commission. Her areas of practice include risk management for healthcare providers, medico-legal cases, and health policy.
She was also the legal consultant of the National Telehealth Center of University of the Philippines-Manila and the Department of Heath Data Privacy Experts Group. She has contributed in publications and has been invited as resource speaker in various special topics– Physician and Hospital Liability, Health Information Privacy, Telemedicine, and e-Health.
Gwen Grecia de Vera

Atty. De Vera is a partner at the Puyat Jacinto & Santos since 2006 to the present. She is also a lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Law. She served as Executive Director of the Philippine Competition Commission from 2017-2018.
